We had a great time visiting th zoo today! Logan was a little cranky since he skipped his morning nap but as soon as he spotted the animals, he LOVED it! Here are some pics of our fun filled day we had with friends at the zoo.

Happy St. Patty's Day!

We had a great first St. Patty's Day with Logan! It was also my little (BIG) brother, Corey's, birthday. He turned 16 this year and is already towering over me, at 6 foot 2. He's soooo tall and SKINNY. Couldn't I have gotten those genes?!?! Feels like it was just yesterday when he was 2 years old and bossing me and my friends around. Now he is talking about girls 24/7. Wow, time flies!

We all enjoyed a nice day together by doing a quick shop at Target (of course). Next, we took a little drive to Krispy Kreme for some fresh donuts (the birthday boy's brilliant idea), Logan even got to taste his first Krispy Kreme donut and he LOVED it.....DUH! ;) Then, we celebrated with some yummy dinner and plenty of dessert. Oh and playing throw back video games. Nintendo 64 overtakes all the new video systems, I don't care what the new generation says! Can you simply remove your Xbox cd and blow on it to get it back to work? Nope! ;)

Hope everyone had a great St. Patty's Day!

Morning Fun with Logan!

He loves practicing with his walker! However, It scares the living you know what out of me!

                                                                                "Oh, hey mom!"

Just pulling my monkey!

Smoothies are Logan's FAV!

This past week Logan started drinking smoothies for breakfast and just like that, this little man is addicted to them! They are so healthy and so easy to make for him! I just blend a banana, 1/3 cup of frozen organic strawberries, a 1/4 cup of organic vanilla yogurt using my Magic Bullet and....VOILA! He LOVES these things!!! He actually drinks the ENTIRE smoothie straight from his sippy cup, like a such big boy! Oh and then he has some Happy Baby organic cheese puffs and a bottle of milk right afterwards. I love how he has such a GREAT appetite! =)

7 Months Old!

Here we are......7 Months old already!!!! Which means my little man is closer to a year old and celebrating his FIRST birthday than when I gave birth to him. It's absolutely nuts how fast the time has flown by for us! I feel like I was just pregnant and sick as a dog lol. This has definitely been the month that Logan has gone from baby status to crazy explorer status lol. This little man is on the verge of getting into EVERYTHING! He is already crawling! He started army crawling last month and is now officially crawling up on his knees. He is still slow when he crawls. However, I feel like any day now he will be crawling all over the place!!! When he sees something he wants, he is like Christopher Columbus and ready for his expedite to explore. His new thing is now when we  are on the couch he likes to leap and crawl over to our little side table to grab our remotes or any type of drink we have over there lol. He LOVES remotes! Oh and phones, keys, and my Ipad too lol! He even has baby toys that resemble a remote, cell phone, and keys but this little man knows the difference!!! I think it's because he knows he shouldn't have them, so he wants them more lol.

This past week we did a lot of new things with Logan. We took him to our little park in our neighborhood and he LOVED it! He's been to the park before but this time he got to ride on the swings and go down the slide with daddy. The little man was all smiles and giggles while we were there. However, it was FREEZING (for Florida standards at least lol). So we only got to start for a little bit. As soon as his little hands started to get cold, we were ready to go. However, we will be back for sure! I also got this cute little bubble machine that I found in Target's dollar spot section that Logan loves.....oh and Diesel loves too! He is fascinated with bubbles! For those mommies out there wondering what to do with their little ones during the day..... BUBBLES! They are a fun way to play with them, that's for sure! Logan could look at them and try to pop them all day long lol. Diesel likes to eat them also, what a silly dog!

Oh and Dan got free suite level tickets for the Panther's game yesterday and we went on a little date. It was so nice to spend some much needed alone time with him! Sometimes I get too into the whole mommy thing and forget about anything else. I also get anxiety about leaving him but Dan keeps telling me it's healthy and to not feel guilty. Plus, we left at 6 pm so it was an hour before he goes to sleep. Dan was so right about that because I felt so much less stressed.  Even if we just get out the two of us for an hour, it helps! Just have to remember it's healthy!

Here are some pictures of Logan at the park this past Saturday and Dan and I at the Panther's game.

Another thing, Logan is eating REAL food these days! I still feed him his homemade pureed food but when we eat something for breakfast, lunch, or dinner- he has a little taste of it to explore his pallet. This boy loves to eat everything! Thank goodness because his mamma is the pickiest eater in the world (for those of you who know me, I'm sure you agree lol)! His pediatrician gave us the green light last month to let him try everything but NO eggs, honey, and nuts for the first year. Oh and of course nothing with tons of spice or sauce bc I'm sure that would upset his tummy. Some of his favorite things this month that he tried were broccoli and cheese soup, sweet potato with cinnamon, French toast, and tofu. Dan and I have a ritual of going with one of our friends to this near by hibachi restaurant every Saturday and he goes crazy over my miso soup! He loves the tofu from it and tries to sip out of my little spoon for the miso broth. It's sooooo adorable! I guess it's no surprise that he loves that food, considering that was my biggest pregnancy craving! Dan and I joke how Logan is a third made up of me, a third of Dan, and then we owe the rest to the hibachi restaurant with all the food I ate there while I was preggers lol.

As for Logan's stats, I take him on Wednesday for his 7 month check up, so I will do an update post on his weight and everything. I am guessing he is around the 20 pound mark by now. He already outgrew his size 3 diapers 2 weeks ago and is in size 4 diapers!!!! I feel like those size standards on the box are a total bunch of bologna because it says size 4 diapers are for babies that weight 28 pounds or more and they already fit him. Oh well as long as they hold in everything lol.

So now that we are getting closer to celebrating Logan's first birthday, I am starting to plan, plan, plan!!! I am already starting to make little craft things for his big day. We are still figuring out a theme. So far he likes Yo Gabba Gabba, Mickey Mouse Clubhouse, and Sesame Street. I figure he is still young and I will give it a little while longer to see which is his favorite before I really jump completely deep into the whole planning and creating part. =)

I just loveeeeeeeeeee this little man!!!!!!!!

Logan's First Vacation

We had a blast enjoying our first vacation as a family of 3 in Orlando these past few days! We had a really nice time visiting Dan's cousin, Sean. We were initially going to go to a theme park but decided on Downtown Disney instead- since Logan is so young. I LOVE Disney and would have been down to go but Dan doesn't feel as strongly about it as I do, so we agreed to wait until he is at least a year old and can enjoy it a little more.

Downtown Disney was nice but it was so cold out while we were there. My ears were popping the whole time we were outside. We shopped for a little bit and then decided on going to get lunch at Buffalo Wild Wings to get out of the cold. The next day we went to the Prime Outlets which is AMAZING! It makes Sawgrass look like a joke! The Victoria Secret and Express outlet was a gold mine for me! Bras for just $19.99.....YES PLEASE lol! We also got Logan his first Mickey Mouse at the Disney Store. He loves eating Mickey's nose!

The last Day we were there we got to go to the Restaurant that Dan's cousin works at, for dinner. He's one of the main chefs there and was able to get our whole meal comped....how awesome is that?!?! We had crab cakes and bruschetta for our appetizer, filet, seafood pasta, and a rib eye steak for the main course...then tiramisu and some yummy peanut butter creation for dessert. Oh and the guys had a bunch of drinks and it was all free! It was so good! Thanks Sean! :)

Overall, Dan and I were so impressed with how GREAT Logan did during our "trial" trip! He slept the whole time in the car and slept the whole night in his pack and play.....which we were afraid would affect his sleeping schedule....thank goodness he is still on track!

I just love this cute, sweet, happy little baby boy!
