Happy Hanukkah!

This past Saturday night, Logan celebrated his first Hanukkah! He was spoiled with so many gifts! Poor little man started fussing mid gift opening bc it was past his bedtime. However, we all had a great time! He was so cute and he even ate a little oatmeal like a big boy! We knew this was coming when we went to our friend Kristin and Gianni's house for dinner that Wednesday before bc Logan was trying to grab food off my plate. He even drank water out of my glass. I am in shock at how fast he is growing! Little man is already 25 inches long and 15 lbs ( as of his 4 month check up a week ago). This little boy LOVES to eat! I'm not complaining though bc those chunky legs are beyond adorable!

On Sunday, we took Logan to the menorah lighting event at Weston Town Center where they had a bunch of things going on. Logan enjoyed watching everything. He even fell asleep in his carrier after an hour of excitement. Afterwards, we enjoyed a nice family dinner out, where Logan was the center of attention as always!

Oh and on a side note, Logan slept 12 hours this morning! From 9pm to 9am. What an AMAZING little baby! I just love this boy!

Happy Monday everyone!

4 Months Old!

4 months already! Are you kidding me?!?! Where has the time gone?

Logan is turning into such a big boy, with a sweet and happy personality. Rolling is his new hobby and he is just fascinated with his little feet! Poor little guy is also teething like crazy these days, which means lots of drool and being cranky at times. Luckily, it only comes in increments!

We are finally getting into a daily routine. He wakes up around 7:30 am, then I put him down for a nap in his crib around 8:30 am and he sleeps until around 10 am. He wakes up to eat and play or run a few errands with me and takes a 20-30 min cat nap sometime around noon. Then he takes another good nap around 3 pm until around 5:30 pm and stays up until bedtime. Bedtime routine starts around 8 pm. His daily bedtime routine goes like this....give him a bath, change into sleeper, bottle, then into the crib he goes, AWAKE, and puts himself to sleep like such a big boy! He finally falls asleep for the night around 9ish and sleeps through the entire night until the morning. He is an AMAZING baby! We just love this boy to pieces!

He is also getting CHUNKY! I just love his baby rolls! His thighs are the cutest! He is wearing size 3-6 month and 6 month clothes. Still in size 2 diapers, which fit him well but seem to leak at times. We may have to switch brands bc we are using Pamper's Swaddlers and when he falls asleep on his tummy, he seems to get his belly wet. We may changed to Huggies Movers (now that he is moving around more).

He is also sitting up a lot these days! He can keep himself up unassisted for a few seconds, but if he has a little support, he is golden! He is also getting in the habit of doing sit ups if we lay him down because he would much rather sit himself up.

I also can't cradle him any more bc he is such a big boy! He would much rather be on my hip and see everything. He even started sitting in the cart like a big boy. However, The baby carrier is the best these days, being that he is too heavy for me to carry him all day long! In fact, we did some errands the other day and I put him in the Baby Bjorn and he didn't cry once! We were out for 2.5 hours with ZERO fussing! He even fell asleep in there without fussing at all! I'm loving the carrier! For all you mommies to be, get one! They are the best! Especially, if you are an OCD type person who wants to clean without having to worry about the baby being upset.

As for other things going on, our bathroom is finally repaired, thank goodness! That was so stressful having construction, a baby, and a loud/barking dog all under the same house! I wanted to pull my hair out for those 2 LONG weeks. Atleast, all the repairs are done, the bathroom is safe and looks beautiful!

Our house is finally getting decorated! We have our manorah out and tree all decorated. Most of my shopping is already done (thank you online shopping)! Ebates is the best if you need to buy online. All you have to do is go to Ebates.com and search for your store and shop away and earn money back! I just got a check for $48 from shopping through them, plus discount codes for the merchandise! So great for any stay at home mommies who need to shop and make some extra money.

Chanukah is already this Saturday night! I can't believe it! I'm so excited to celebrate it with Logan this year! He is definetly going to get spoiled from mommy and daddy, plus all our other family members! So excited for all the holiday joy coming up!

Happy Monday everyone!

Oh Pinterest, how I love you!

I found this awesome recipe on Pinterest! It's a 3 layer brownie cupcake with Oreos and chocolate chip cookies. It's so easy to make!

All you need is a box of brownie mix, eggs, oil, water, Oreos, and chocolate chip cookie dough.

Directions:

*First, preheat oven @ 350 degrees.
*Use a cupcake pan with cupcake liners (you will need for 12 brownie cupcakes).
*Follow directions on the box of brownies and make the mix.
*Next take 12 cookie dough squares and squish to creat a flat, bottom layer.
*Then add Oreo in the middle and top with brownie batter.
*Bake for 20 minutes and enjoy!

So amazing but so fattening! ;)

Crafting for the Holidays

So lately, I've become a little obsessed with Pinterest! Okay, who am I kidding?!?! More like a LOT obsessed with Pinterest! I've been trying to get a lot of ideas on how to become crafty for the holidays. So far, I'm totally wanting to do the cute footprints with Logan's feet. I also want to make a super cute and festive reef for our door. Oh, and I also want to make some adorable decor pillows for the living and family room couches. I'm excited and hope all our projects come out good! I actually just finished creating our holiday cards with Logan's cute face all over them! Now, I'm off to Joann's online site to buy all the items we need. :)

14 Weeks

So much has happened in the past 2 weeks!

Logan has been staying up in longer intervals. This is fun at first because he has so much personality when he is awake now! However, it gets  dangerous because he gets himself over tired! He also likes to physically fight me now when he is over tired. He will push me or pull my hair. He is super strong too for such a little guy! Today was a good example, he woke up at 7:45 am and didn't nap at all until 1 pm! We were out running some errands and got super cranky at around 11:30 and fought sleep the entire time! H finally gave in at 1 pm. Although, here it is 4:40pm and he is still napping! So he makes up his sleeping time lol.

As for growing, we went to the dr's this past Wednesday and he now weighs 13 pounds 14 ounces. Putting him in the 50th percentile for weight. Not too shabby for all the formula he eats! This little man has a super fast metabolism, eating 40 ounces a day!!! He is above average in height, measuring at 24.5 inches and is in the 75th percentile. He is tall and thin. Lucky him hehe!

Sleeping is still going good. He sleeps through the night still from 9:30 pm until 7:30 am. However, he did wake up a few nights this week bc his room gets so cold, so I just brought him in our room to stay warm. We tried to put our heat on the other night but it didn't feel like it was getting hot and I was afraid to put the portable heater on in his room during the night (without my supervision). So for now, he comes in our room around 5 am, when it gets too cold in his room. He is so cute and cuddly, so we don't mind! It's funny how such a little man can hog up our big bed though lol!

He is still wearing size 2 diapers and size 3-6 month clothes. We also stopped feeding him rice cereal until I find organic rice cereal. There has been a scare of reports finding arsenic in rice these days. So to be safe, the dr said to buy organic. We looked at Publix, but they only had Earth's Best rice cereals with apples and we need just the plain one. I'm going to go to Target ASAP to pick some up. So excited it's the weekend already, so we can have some daddy time! He has been working so hard these days to support us. He is such a great daddy and hubby!

Happy Friday everyone! :)

Logan's First Halloween, Cereal, and 3 Months Old!

Wow, it has been a busy week! We just found a leak from our Master bathroom, so we have been trying to get that repaired ASAP! I love our house but home owning can get super expensive! On a positive note, we celebrated Logan's first Halloween! He had 3 costumes: a pumpkin, skeleton, and Dan's favorite- a Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtle. It's a good thing we got him 3 different ones bc Logan can sure make a mess in his outfit in no time! Dan dressed up as Quail Man and i was Super Girl. We even got to go to a Halloween party for a little bit with some friends, while Dan's parents watched Logan for us. Let's just say I will never have a jello shot again, yuck! It kinda stinks not drinking for a year (being pregnant and all) and having a super low tolerance! However, we did have a blast the time we were there!

As for Logan, he just turned 3 months this past Saturday! He is growing and eating so much! We even started him on rice cereal bc he never seems full! He eats almost 40 ounces a day!!! So we started rice cereal this past Friday with the dr's approval and will start other solids when he turns 4 months. I'm excited to make him some yummy and all natural baby food! Thanks to my grandma, I have a wonderful baby recipe book to help me prepare more tasty foods as he gets older!

As for stats, Logan is wearing size 2 diapers, 3-6 month clothes, Smiling and laughing up a storm, and is sleeping through the night from about 9:30-7:30! He is such a good baby! He only cries when hungry or overtired. Although, he is getting a little spoiled wanting to be held when he gets sleepy. We also took out the small bassinet part in his play pen and he is now in the big boy part on the bottom. He loves to stand up too! He has been doing this since 6 weeks old and he is so strong! Everyone thinks he is going o be an early walker.

Playing in his big boy play pen

This weekend we had a nice time going to the park and watching daddy play some football. It was a beautiful day and we even got to go to my old park where I grew up in Aventura. Logan did sleep the entire time, which was good in a way bc he stayed out of the sun, while Dan and I got a little sun burned. Today we are going to one of our good friend's niece 1st birthday party. We are excited for Logan to finally meet the little birthday girl!

As for me, I have 7 pounds left to go to get back to my prepregnancy weight! I'm so happy about losing it so fast! I've lost a total of 33 pounds!!! Woo hoo!
