7 Months Old!
This past week we did a lot of new things with Logan. We took him to our little park in our neighborhood and he LOVED it! He's been to the park before but this time he got to ride on the swings and go down the slide with daddy. The little man was all smiles and giggles while we were there. However, it was FREEZING (for Florida standards at least lol). So we only got to start for a little bit. As soon as his little hands started to get cold, we were ready to go. However, we will be back for sure! I also got this cute little bubble machine that I found in Target's dollar spot section that Logan loves.....oh and Diesel loves too! He is fascinated with bubbles! For those mommies out there wondering what to do with their little ones during the day..... BUBBLES! They are a fun way to play with them, that's for sure! Logan could look at them and try to pop them all day long lol. Diesel likes to eat them also, what a silly dog!
Oh and Dan got free suite level tickets for the Panther's game yesterday and we went on a little date. It was so nice to spend some much needed alone time with him! Sometimes I get too into the whole mommy thing and forget about anything else. I also get anxiety about leaving him but Dan keeps telling me it's healthy and to not feel guilty. Plus, we left at 6 pm so it was an hour before he goes to sleep. Dan was so right about that because I felt so much less stressed. Even if we just get out the two of us for an hour, it helps! Just have to remember it's healthy!
Here are some pictures of Logan at the park this past Saturday and Dan and I at the Panther's game.

Another thing, Logan is eating REAL food these days! I still feed him his homemade pureed food but when we eat something for breakfast, lunch, or dinner- he has a little taste of it to explore his pallet. This boy loves to eat everything! Thank goodness because his mamma is the pickiest eater in the world (for those of you who know me, I'm sure you agree lol)! His pediatrician gave us the green light last month to let him try everything but NO eggs, honey, and nuts for the first year. Oh and of course nothing with tons of spice or sauce bc I'm sure that would upset his tummy. Some of his favorite things this month that he tried were broccoli and cheese soup, sweet potato with cinnamon, French toast, and tofu. Dan and I have a ritual of going with one of our friends to this near by hibachi restaurant every Saturday and he goes crazy over my miso soup! He loves the tofu from it and tries to sip out of my little spoon for the miso broth. It's sooooo adorable! I guess it's no surprise that he loves that food, considering that was my biggest pregnancy craving! Dan and I joke how Logan is a third made up of me, a third of Dan, and then we owe the rest to the hibachi restaurant with all the food I ate there while I was preggers lol.
So now that we are getting closer to celebrating Logan's first birthday, I am starting to plan, plan, plan!!! I am already starting to make little craft things for his big day. We are still figuring out a theme. So far he likes Yo Gabba Gabba, Mickey Mouse Clubhouse, and Sesame Street. I figure he is still young and I will give it a little while longer to see which is his favorite before I really jump completely deep into the whole planning and creating part. =)
I just loveeeeeeeeeee this little man!!!!!!!!

Logan's First Vacation
We had a blast enjoying our first vacation as a family of 3 in Orlando these past few days! We had a really nice time visiting Dan's cousin, Sean. We were initially going to go to a theme park but decided on Downtown Disney instead- since Logan is so young. I LOVE Disney and would have been down to go but Dan doesn't feel as strongly about it as I do, so we agreed to wait until he is at least a year old and can enjoy it a little more.
Downtown Disney was nice but it was so cold out while we were there. My ears were popping the whole time we were outside. We shopped for a little bit and then decided on going to get lunch at Buffalo Wild Wings to get out of the cold. The next day we went to the Prime Outlets which is AMAZING! It makes Sawgrass look like a joke! The Victoria Secret and Express outlet was a gold mine for me! Bras for just $19.99.....YES PLEASE lol! We also got Logan his first Mickey Mouse at the Disney Store. He loves eating Mickey's nose!
The last Day we were there we got to go to the Restaurant that Dan's cousin works at, for dinner. He's one of the main chefs there and was able to get our whole meal comped....how awesome is that?!?! We had crab cakes and bruschetta for our appetizer, filet, seafood pasta, and a rib eye steak for the main course...then tiramisu and some yummy peanut butter creation for dessert. Oh and the guys had a bunch of drinks and it was all free! It was so good! Thanks Sean! :)
Overall, Dan and I were so impressed with how GREAT Logan did during our "trial" trip! He slept the whole time in the car and slept the whole night in his pack and play.....which we were afraid would affect his sleeping schedule....thank goodness he is still on track!
I just love this cute, sweet, happy little baby boy!

Happy Valentine's Day!
I have always loved celebrating each holiday and now having Logan, it makes celebrating that much more fun! He is such a sweet and loving boy. Not to mention oober cute! He is always smiling and flirting with all the ladies wherever we go. So I saw this cute shirt at Target that said Heartbreaker and had to get it for him, since he is such a ladies man lol.
We had a fun play date this morning where Logan got a ton of kisses from little Forrest. Oh and a little love bite too. He also met a new friend, Daniel, who got to come over and play for a little bit too. Later on he helped me bake some yummy desserts.....white chocolate Oreo pops and some red velvet cookies. I'm so excited to try the cookies! I love red velvet!
As for my other handsome Valentine, Dan, we are going to make a homemade pizza for dinner tonight bc we did not want to go out in the madness tonight. So we figured we would have a low key and cozy Valentine's Day- just the way i like it! We can't wait for him to get his butt home, so we can celebrate and pig out on some sweets as a family. I love these 2 boys soooo much! :)

Quick Update
I just got back from taking Logan to the doctor's and he is now weighing a wopping 18 pounds 2 ounces and is 26 inches long. He is still in the 50 percentile in everything and the doctor said he is growing just perfectly! We are still spacing out all of his vaccines- we go every month vs. every other month. The doctor also said he was impressed with how alert he is and not only has 2 full bottom teeth but said the 2 on the top will be popping in any day now. How crazy is that?!?! He said expect him to have full set of teeth soon- CRAZINESS! He is also starting to dance when his favorite show Yo Gabba Gabba comes on. It's beyond adorable! I will try and post a video of him doing it- that is if I ever figure out how to upload a video on here without taking a year and a day to do so lol!

Half a Year Old!
Time sure goes by fast when you're having tons of fun! My newborn baby is now 6 months old.....a half a year! I'm in shock how fast these past 6 months have gone and have been trying to cherish each day with him bc they go by too quickly.
This past month has been a huge change in Logan's personality and growth. Logan can do so many more things these days! He sits up all by himself (no assistance needed), gives high fives (daddy taught him that one), talks a ton, and tries real food these days. In fact, Dan thought he heard Logan say "baba" and when we were outside doing the lawn this past weekend he said "da" and we flipped out! We've been also hearing him say "ma" a few times, so Dan was so excited to hear he was still in the race. I feel like he will be saying his first word pretty soon. I am sure it will be dada, since its easier to say than mama. He also loves his daddy! ;)
Logan is also sitting in a big boy car seat! No more snug ride car seat for this guy! I researched like crazy to find the safest and most durable car seat and after speaking with a ton of mommies, I've decided on the Britax Boulevard. Britax is just on a whole different level on safety that no other car seats could ever compare. They allow children to sit rear facing up to 40 pounds, which was a must for my choice. I also loved the Boulevard model because of it's side impact wings, to protect against a side impact crash. Logan seems to love it too! I also got it in the Zebra pattern and love the design!
As for food, Logan is trying everything these days. When we went to Japan Inn the other day, I let him try some of my miso soup. He loved the tofu! Then, the next day when we went to Arby's he ate part of my turkey sandwich with me. This boy sure loves to eat and I'm so happy to share my food with him. Speaking of food, Logan also tried his first cupcake last night to celebrate his "half a year" birthday. He was so confused at first when we gave it to him because he has only been self feeding himself with organic baby puffs and yogurt melts. So, when he saw that big cupcake in front of him, he looked at me like "is this okay to eat, mommy?" and then went straight into it for the attack. He even laughed the first time he put his fingers through it. It was too adorable! He sure had fun and made a big mess out of it, but hey that was inevitable, right? LOL
As for his next milestone coming up, it's CRAWLING!!! I'm terrified of this because I've heard that once they become mobile, life is never the same and I just love my little baby. However, I'm so excited to see him grow up. He is going to be crawling any day now! He already army crawls but when he has his tummy up in the air, he just seems to rock back and forth and tries so hard to move but hasn't figured it out yet. So for now, I'm making sure the house is baby proof for when the time comes. Dan and I even set up a downstair's and upstair's play area for safe baby play. He loves it! Playtime is so much more fun now that he can sit up by himself. He is such a curious little boy and loves getting into everything! He is still super happy and loves everybody. I am noticing him getting a little bit of stranger anxiety at times but I heard at 6 months that can start.
February has so many fun and exciting things in stored for us! Logan will be taking his first road trip. We were first thinking about traveling to Atlanta, to visit Dan's and my old school, but then thought a 10 hour drive would not be good for Logan's first car trip! Especially, since he hasn't been very fond of the car these days! So instead, Dan and I decided on Orlando as a "trial" road trip next week to get him used to it before we take him on such a long drive.
We will also be celebrating Logan's first Valentine's day. Dan is going to have to get used to me having 2 valentines now because this little boy has totally stolen my heart. He is just the cutest and sweetest little boy I've ever met and my love for him gets stronger with each passing day! Sorry for all the mush but he brings out the mushiest side of me these days. Motherhood is simply the best!!!
Here are some cute pics of Logan turning 6 months old and having his "half a year" cupcake smash. Oh and I also posted some other random pics from this past month. Including Logan's new play areas and car seat. :)
