One thing that I am super grateful for, is conceiving Logan! This very same day last year, we conceived him! I'm in shock that it has already been a year! Where has this year gone? My little man will be turning 15 weeks tomorrow! How crazy?!?! Okay, Enough of blogging! This mommy is off to go play with her cutie pie, before he grows up!

Happy Thursday everyone!

Crafting for the Holidays

So lately, I've become a little obsessed with Pinterest! Okay, who am I kidding?!?! More like a LOT obsessed with Pinterest! I've been trying to get a lot of ideas on how to become crafty for the holidays. So far, I'm totally wanting to do the cute footprints with Logan's feet. I also want to make a super cute and festive reef for our door. Oh, and I also want to make some adorable decor pillows for the living and family room couches. I'm excited and hope all our projects come out good! I actually just finished creating our holiday cards with Logan's cute face all over them! Now, I'm off to Joann's online site to buy all the items we need. :)

14 Weeks

So much has happened in the past 2 weeks!

Logan has been staying up in longer intervals. This is fun at first because he has so much personality when he is awake now! However, it gets  dangerous because he gets himself over tired! He also likes to physically fight me now when he is over tired. He will push me or pull my hair. He is super strong too for such a little guy! Today was a good example, he woke up at 7:45 am and didn't nap at all until 1 pm! We were out running some errands and got super cranky at around 11:30 and fought sleep the entire time! H finally gave in at 1 pm. Although, here it is 4:40pm and he is still napping! So he makes up his sleeping time lol.

As for growing, we went to the dr's this past Wednesday and he now weighs 13 pounds 14 ounces. Putting him in the 50th percentile for weight. Not too shabby for all the formula he eats! This little man has a super fast metabolism, eating 40 ounces a day!!! He is above average in height, measuring at 24.5 inches and is in the 75th percentile. He is tall and thin. Lucky him hehe!

Sleeping is still going good. He sleeps through the night still from 9:30 pm until 7:30 am. However, he did wake up a few nights this week bc his room gets so cold, so I just brought him in our room to stay warm. We tried to put our heat on the other night but it didn't feel like it was getting hot and I was afraid to put the portable heater on in his room during the night (without my supervision). So for now, he comes in our room around 5 am, when it gets too cold in his room. He is so cute and cuddly, so we don't mind! It's funny how such a little man can hog up our big bed though lol!

He is still wearing size 2 diapers and size 3-6 month clothes. We also stopped feeding him rice cereal until I find organic rice cereal. There has been a scare of reports finding arsenic in rice these days. So to be safe, the dr said to buy organic. We looked at Publix, but they only had Earth's Best rice cereals with apples and we need just the plain one. I'm going to go to Target ASAP to pick some up. So excited it's the weekend already, so we can have some daddy time! He has been working so hard these days to support us. He is such a great daddy and hubby!

Happy Friday everyone! :)

Logan's First Halloween, Cereal, and 3 Months Old!

Wow, it has been a busy week! We just found a leak from our Master bathroom, so we have been trying to get that repaired ASAP! I love our house but home owning can get super expensive! On a positive note, we celebrated Logan's first Halloween! He had 3 costumes: a pumpkin, skeleton, and Dan's favorite- a Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtle. It's a good thing we got him 3 different ones bc Logan can sure make a mess in his outfit in no time! Dan dressed up as Quail Man and i was Super Girl. We even got to go to a Halloween party for a little bit with some friends, while Dan's parents watched Logan for us. Let's just say I will never have a jello shot again, yuck! It kinda stinks not drinking for a year (being pregnant and all) and having a super low tolerance! However, we did have a blast the time we were there!

As for Logan, he just turned 3 months this past Saturday! He is growing and eating so much! We even started him on rice cereal bc he never seems full! He eats almost 40 ounces a day!!! So we started rice cereal this past Friday with the dr's approval and will start other solids when he turns 4 months. I'm excited to make him some yummy and all natural baby food! Thanks to my grandma, I have a wonderful baby recipe book to help me prepare more tasty foods as he gets older!

As for stats, Logan is wearing size 2 diapers, 3-6 month clothes, Smiling and laughing up a storm, and is sleeping through the night from about 9:30-7:30! He is such a good baby! He only cries when hungry or overtired. Although, he is getting a little spoiled wanting to be held when he gets sleepy. We also took out the small bassinet part in his play pen and he is now in the big boy part on the bottom. He loves to stand up too! He has been doing this since 6 weeks old and he is so strong! Everyone thinks he is going o be an early walker.

This weekend we had a nice time going to the park and watching daddy play some football. It was a beautiful day and we even got to go to my old park where I grew up in Aventura. Logan did sleep the entire time, which was good in a way bc he stayed out of the sun, while Dan and I got a little sun burned. Today we are going to one of our good friend's niece 1st birthday party. We are excited for Logan to finally meet the little birthday girl!

As for me, I have 7 pounds left to go to get back to my prepregnancy weight! I'm so happy about losing it so fast! I've lost a total of 33 pounds!!! Woo hoo!

Fall Festivities and 12 weeks old!

We had a blast this past weekend with all of our fall festivities! First we went to lunch at Japan Inn for Dan’s favorite type of food, Hibachi! Logan was so cute when they did the show. He liked the part when the chef lit the fire on the grill. After lunch we then went to the Shenandoah Fall Festival. Which was a lot of fun but unfortunately a little too hot for Logan! We didn’t want to stay too long because it was during the peak sunny hours of the day and that isn’t good for such a little guy like Logan. We did get to at least walk around a little and take some goofy pictures in the photo booth. After the fall festival, we took a drive over to the mall to do a little shopping. I haven’t gone shopping for so long! So it was nice to buy a few new pieces of clothes! After the mall, we headed over to Flamingo’s Nursery to see their cute pumpkin patch. It was so nice walking around but Logan was starting to get tired…..and so was daddy! We took some cute family pictures and then went
home.

As for Logan, he is developing and growing so quickly. He is now 12 weeks old and trying to reach for things. He’s gaining control over his hands and standing with assistance all the time. He prefers to stand, than to sit down. He also laughed for the first time awake (he laughs in his sleep) last Saturday. It was the cutest laugh ever!!! Dan and I were kissing both cheeks Saturday morning and he was cracking up. He has the cutest smile to go along with his darling little laugh! It melts my heart! I have a feeling he is going to have me wrapped around his little finger. Hopefully, daddy will be the disciplinarian parent lol.

Logan is also sleeping through the night! He is sleeping around 10 hours straight. I hope this will continue because he has been doing it for the past 9 days in a row! He is also eating so much! He eats anywhere from 6-8 oz 6 times a day! He must have a fast metabolism because the doctor said most babies his age only eat 4 oz 6 times a day. I am really in need of stepping up my game on coupoining with all the formula we are going through these days! I am so happy to see him having a healthy appetite! =)

As for my postpartum weight loss, I am now down 32 lbs!!! Woo hoo! Only 8 lbs left to go! It feels great to be able to wear my clothes again! I feel like I have a whole new wardrobe because I could fit in it for the longest time being pregnant lol.

Happy 10 Weeks Baby Boy!

These past 2 weeks have been so much fun! We enjoyed another week of Mommy and Me. Logan is doing just great during class! Although, he decided to skip nap time the last time we went and was a little cranky during that session. He is so cute though, so it really doesn’t bother me! I just feel bad when he fights his naps because he gets so angry and his eyes get super red! On a positive note, he is sleeping through the night like a champ. He has been making a habit of going to bed around 10 PM and sleeping until 6-7 AM.  A few times we put him to bed at 9 PM, then he wakes up at 5 AM for a quick feed and then goes right back to sleep until 9 AM. I have multiple friends asking me “what’s our secret”? Well, the only daily routine we do is bath around 8 PM, change into sleeper, bottle, and then he goes into the crib to sleep for the night. Oh and we also use a sound machine. Dan and I feel very lucky to have such a good baby that sleeps through the night already!

Logan this morning when he woke up. Such a good boy, he didn't even cry!

Logan also got to meet Dan’s cousin Sean, which he loved! Sean was a natural with him! He even wore the baby carrier while shopping in the Sawgrass Mall! That was funny watching Dan and Sean walking alone together because it looked like it was their kid. Too cute! =) We have also started taking daily walks in our neighborhood, which he absolutely loves! Logan always falls asleep during our walks. However, I haven’t mastered keeping him asleep from the walk once we get back inside. He is definitely helping me get back in shape lol. I can’t wait for it to get a little cooler out so we can go anytime in the day!
 Logan and Sean

We also took a trip up to Delray Beach to see one of my friends, Brittany from high school, who also has a cute little baby boy. We had so much fun! It was so cute holding her baby. Bradley is so much lighter than Logan! Logan is getting so chunky these days! In fact, Brittany was nice enough to give us 10 boxes of premade formula and Logan went through an entire box in just 3 hours! How crazy is that?!?! He is just too cute! =)
All the bottles Logan drank in just 3 hours!

                         Visiting Brittany and Bradley =)

I am so excite for this week’s adventures! We have so much in store for us. We will be going to a Halloween party, Lion Country Safari, a Pumpkin Path, Shenandoah Fall Festival, and Mommy and Me.  Yay, for fun adventures with mommy and son! =)

Mommy's Star =)

As for me postpartum, I have officially 10 more pounds to go to get to my prepregnancy weight. I’m feeling really good about my body and have officially lost 30 pounds since giving birth. I can fit into most of my clothes again, except my low rise (non stretch lol) skinny jeans. That’s okay because I am confident I will get back in those soon with all the daily walks we will be taking. =)

2 Months!

Mommy's big boy!

Logan just turned 2 months this past Wednesday. I don’t know where the time has gone! I have found myself getting super emotional lately about Logan getting bigger. I know it sounds silly, considering he is still so young! However, packing up all his newborn clothes made me realize, that time in his life has past. Don’t get me wrong, I am so excited to see what the future brings. However, I just don’t want it to go too quickly because I love spending as much quality time as possible with this cutie pie!

Logan and daddy

Logan is now smiling 24/7 and communicating with anybody whois willing to listen. He even started watching TV. The past 2 days after he has his morning bottle, he has enjoyed watching Despicable Me. He loves the bright colors and talks up a storm while watching it. I actually recorded him watching it  because I found it to be sooo cute (I need to figure out how to upload videos onto this page)! During that time, I was able to clean all his bottles and catch up on all our laundry.
Watching Despicable Me

We had his 2nd month checkup and the doctor said he is growing perfect! He weighed 11 pounds  15 ounces  and is 23 inches long. He had 3/5 of his vaccines done , 1 oral (rotavirus) and 2 injections (DTap and Hib). He will be getting the others done next month. I made sure they were all Thimerosal free. I felt so bad watching him get them done. He was a trooper though with the first 2 and was smiling, BUT then, the last one sent him over the edge and we were done!
We also went to Mommy and Me twice this week and had a blast. It’s hilarious that he could be super exhausted and cranky prior to getting there, but as soon as we start class, he is wide awake and soooo happy!  I just love it!
This is how he starts every Mommy and Me class
